Name your file size

Most converters give you a quality slider and leave you guessing. Recast lets you say what the file needs to weigh, then works backwards to get there. 25 MB for most email, 20 MB for Discord, 16 MB for a WhatsApp video, or a number you pick yourself.

Honest about results

If full resolution cannot reach your target, Recast lowers the resolution to get there and tells you it did. If a file is already small enough, it leaves it alone and says so.
